After Louis Majorelle: Nancy school wardrobe in walnut and ash, Art Nouveau period, circa 1900. Atypical and generously animated shape inspired by nature in the spirit of the creations of Hector Guimard (Paris metro stations). The great particularity of the Art Nouveau style, which was born in France in 1889, is that the decorations composed of curves and arabesques are no longer added but are an integral part of the sculpture. The exuberance of the shapes, decorations and stylized sculptures earned the nickname "Art Nouille" at this time. This magnificent wardrobe is available in a similar model visible at the Nancy school museum. It opens on the front with 6 drawers and 2 doors, one of which has a small-paned mirror. It rests on large feet with stylized motifs. H250x144x55.
