18th century Directoire period waistcoat In Indian cotton Complete with buttons Embroidered entirely on the front with silver threads and silk threads representing sometimes a butterfly sometimes a bird which could be compared to the motif of the Holy Spirit. Waistcoat in very good condition. Rarely worn. A hole on the back. The front as well as the armholes and collar are in perfect condition.
