Rare corozo nut snuffbox carved on the lid with the profile of King Louis XVIII accompanied by a trophy of arms: cuirass, crested helmet, shield, flags, bayonets and lictor's fasces... A branch of laurels and oak leaves is present on each side of the profile of the King of France. The hull of the ship is carved with portholes and the prow is decorated with the royal coat of arms with three fleurs-de-lys. Presumed monogram of the sculptor "DM" in a cartouche. Very beautiful display and curio object Restoration period.
