"Lacquered Wooden Box With Mother-of-pearl Tokens"
Superb 19th century lacquered wooden box (made in China for the European market) containing 5 boxes with lids also decorated with gilded painted patterns (4 square and one rectangular in the center). The set is in good condition. This box contains 10 round tokens diameter 3.5 cm, 10 oval tokens 4.5 cm x 3 cm, 30 oval tokens 6.5 cm x 2.3 cm. That is 50 tokens in all in perfect condition. Width 28 cm. Depth 16 cm. Height 5 cm. It contains four small boxes 3.5 cm high, width 9 cm, depth 7 cm and a box 3.5 high, width 13.5 cm, depth 8 cm.
