Etienne Balmadier Known As "balma", Wood Sculpture
Subject and carved wood signed "Balma", sculptor from Bordeaux. The artist, who left us recently, worked with acacia, lime, red plum, oak and some exotic woods, offering us suggestive, sensual sculptures, sometimes slender, sometimes robust. He also worked with steel, marble, sandstone, limestone. The National Federation of French Sculpture awarded him the gold medal for European sculpture in 2009.
