superb ewer and its solid silver shuttle-shaped basin, the ewer rests on a pedestal bordered by a frieze of water leaves enhanced with a gadrooned ring, the belly is chiseled with a wide band decorated with leafy scrolls and swans drinking from basins in which reeds rest, the base of the neck is highlighted with a frieze of water leaves, the grip of the lid in the shape of a swan, the curved handle is decorated with a dolphin's head and leafy motifs and a female mask crowned with flowers at its base, for the shuttle-shaped basin we find the same motifs as on the ewer, hallmark 1st rooster, late 18th century period, goldsmith gabriel jacques andré bompart, total weight 1.317 kg (572gr + 745gr), in very good condition
