Carved Wooden Black Forest Cuckoo Clock - 19th Century

Splendid Black Forest cuckoo clock from the 19th century, featuring a finely carved and hand-worked wooden case. The dial has applied Roman numerals, and at the strike of each hour, a trumpeter appears from the upper window, accompanied by the classic cuckoo sound.

The clock includes its pendulum and elongated pine cone weights. This piece was consigned to us for sale by a private collector and is offered for sale as a restoration project for the buyer.
Currently, the chime is functional, and the bellows are to be inspected. The case may exhibit some missing elements and repairs, as also visible on the figure of the trumpeter.
