Louis XV Style Sideboard Chest Of Drawers
Magnificent mahogany and lemonwood chest of drawers. Two curved bodies on all sides. The drawer panels, sides and doors are in lemonwood, the rest in carved and molded mahogany. The upper part has a gendarme hat pediment, flower basket decoration. Cornice with fillet and straight quarter-round. Two large doors with rocaille frames. Interior and shelves in meshed oak, paneled back, rack and pinion lock. Four small curved drawers with locks. Rounded uprights with flower falls. Beautiful molded plinth. The lower part has three large curved drawers. Rounded uprights, arched front and rear feet ending in a snail. Low scalloped cornice. Rococo decoration. Ornamentation of gilded bronzes: lock entries, hinges and pull handles. Oak frame, french polish. High-quality furniture, probably Paris or Bordeaux. Around 1900. Total height 247 cm.
