Pair of finely chiseled and gilded bronze candlesticks representing a putto supporting a socket at arm's length, forming a light fixture; it rests on a tripod base of gilded bronze decorated with pearls and acanthus leaves, surmounted by three antique vestals encircling a snake, supporting a circular porphyry shaft decorated with gilded bronze chains. French work from the end of the 18th century, Louis XVI period in the taste of Jean-Louis PRIEUR.
