Dogs and Cat in the Pantry.
The subject is partly taken from a 17th century Dutch painting attributed to Paul de Vos 1595-1678 kept at the Louvre Museum INV 1849.
In our drawing the addition of the cat on the table and the background decoration makes the subject more amusing.
On the back a sketch of the dog and the cat, as well as a group of soldiers in uniform around a horse.
Pen and black ink, wash and watercolor and pencil.
