Alexandre Bailly, French painter and decorator, married in Paris 19th on May 29, 1894* Louise Suzanne JAMBON, daughter of Marcel JAMBON, decorator. He worked in partnership with his father-in-law Marcel Jambon from 1894 to 1908, then alone, for various theaters, notably the Paris Opera (1895 to 1923), the Opéra-Comique (1903 to 1924). On Jambon's death, he took sole charge of the studio, 73 rue Secrétan in Paris 19th. The stamp Atelier Jambon-Bailly as well as that of Atelier Bailly are affixed on the lower margin of the sheet.
