Louis XVI Gold Leaf Gilt Half-moon Shaped Console, Late 18th Century Circa 1780
Large, beautiful Louis XVI gilt wood half-moon shaped console, late 18th century circa 1780. Much refined model decorated with acanthus and flowers garlands. Unusual version resting on 4 feet instead on resting on two feet and the wall.
Proportions are elegant. Luxurious thick marble on top, probably brought afterwards (19th century), uncommon type of light grey marble marble, stunning ! Matt and shiny finish gilt (gold leaf gilt). Our console is a top-of-the range piece.
