This beautiful Art Nouveau sculpture is a rare marble version of one of Coudray's most successful compositions. The model was presented by the artist at the Paris Salon in 1899. Georges Charles Coudray, a pupil of Alexandre Falguière and Henri Allouard, exhibited his works at the Paris Salon in 1882-1903. He was particularly known for his orientalist sculptures, busts and medallions.
