Portrait of a young girl who seems surprised at her toilet, she clutches a towel in her hands thus covering her young naked body. Oil on hardboard, signed lower left. 1940s-50s. Painting by Lucien Boulier (1882-1963) in a pointillist style, characteristic of this artist known for his portraits, nudes and some still lifes. A student of Jean Léon Gérôme, Lucien Boulier exhibited in Paris in 1919, "Woman with a mirror" and 1932 (Salons d'Automne) also at the Salons des Indépendants.
