Pair Of Bronze Candelabra With Dark And Gilded Patina From The Napoleon III Period
Pair of 5-light candelabra in bronze with double patina, dark and gilded, from the Napoleon III period.
The candelabra rest on three feet ending in feline paws, the central striated shaft is decorated with plant motifs, the upper part ending with a heron balancing on a turtle and holding a snake after a model by Emmanuel Fremiet.
The whole of the candelabra are marked, some bear the AD mark, for Auguste Maximilien Delafontaine ( 1813 - 1892 )
The whole is in good general condition, some traces of time. Note a weakness at the base of one of the herons visible in the photo.
