Senior officer's sword with colichemarde blade and scabbard, period: LOUIS XV (1715-1774), 13th century. Chiseled brass mount and copper wire filigree fuse. Olive pommel with spiral chiseling and rivet button. Guard with one branch partly twisted in the middle. Large donkey's step and bivalve shell chiseled on both sides with parallel, opposing curves. Shield at the height of the quillon has the same pattern of curves. Chiseled quillon and quillon end in chiseled olive. Triangular blade with three sides of the colichemarde type (uncommon) with a 24 cm flat then a fine triangular section with a 63 cm groove. Leather scabbard with 2 brass fittings decorated with line. (restored leather) Chappe with chiseled suspension ring. Long brass snap ring with a ball end.
