"Louis XVI Style Pediment Mirror Circa Early 19th Century "
Very beautiful mirror frame in carved and gilded wood with leaf decorated with an openwork pediment decorated with leaves and quivers. Despite the palmette decoration on the frame, typical of the Empire style, this charming work from the very beginning of the 19th century is in pure Louis XVI style. Mercury mirror and parquet behind it. The whole thing rests on two small feet. The glass has small spots of oxidation distributed over the entire mirror. Usual restorations on the pediment, still very fragile. Dim: height 0.74, width 0.41 cms
