This large mythological subject by the sculptor A. Jouanneault is one of the rare works made in earthenware by the talented Parisian publisher Argilor, best known for its production of porcelain night lights. This recurring theme during the Art Deco period is very elegantly treated here and the quality of manufacture is remarkable. Very beautiful polychrome enameling, slightly and finely crackled. Height: 41 cm Perfect condition. Reproduced on page 137, illustration number 141 in the book "Les craquelés Art Déco" by Alain-René Hardy and Bruno Giardi, published by Penthesilia.
