French sculpture from the late 19th century. Work finely sculpted in alabaster depicting a young gleaner, a girl with a scythe and ears of wheat of excellent quality. Sculpture finished from the centre, signed L. Grégoire (see photo) on the back, referable to the sculptor Leon Grégoire (19th - 20th century), lacking authentication. Onyx base (see photo), a beautifully sized and pleasantly furnished work, for antique dealers and interior designers. Girl characterized by an attitude that exudes dignity, a solemn bearing, of great refinement. In good condition, structurally sound, with some small signs of aging.
