Gorgeous, early Biedermeier / Empire Half Cabinet or Chest from Southern Germany around 1820.
Cherry veneered on softwood and solid cherry. Ebonized full columns with old gilt corinthian capitals and bases.
One drawer at the top with recessed handles on the underside. Two doors below, lockable by tongue and groove with old box lock.
Inside counter-veneered in cherry wood, outside with two ebonized diamonds. One softwood inlay board inside. Restored and hand-polished with shellac.
