Portrait of John Conant of Worcester, Massachusetts (1773-1856), circa 1810 Circle of Gilbert STUART (1755-1828) Large early 19th century portrait of John Conant of Worcester, Massachusetts, oil on canvas. Portrait of Conant in Regency dress, of excellent quality and condition, circa 1810. Housed in an antique gilt frame. Dimensions: 36" x 30" framed approximately Provenance: Diamondose Collection (label on reverse) John Conant John Conant was born on February 2, 1773 in Ashburnham, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States. His father, Ebenezer Conant Jr., was 29 years old and his mother, Lydia Oakes, was 29 years old. He married Charity Waite Broughton on November 20, 1794 in Ashburnham, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 5 daughters. He died on June 30, 1856, in Brandon, Rutland, Vermont, United States, at the age of 83, and was buried in Brandon, Rutland, Vermont, United States.
