Beautiful stylization for this proud pigeon made by Boch Frères Keramis on a model by the sculptor and artistic director of the factory Charles Catteau. It is one of the rare animal subjects of Charles Catteau produced by Boch Frères Keramis. Marked with the monogram Ct for Catteau on the terrace facade as well as the model number 1123 below. Height 22.5 cm. Very good condition. It is reproduced page 210 illustration number 226 in the book "Les craquelés Art Déco" published by Penthesilia. Page 299 in the book "Art Déco ceramics, Made in Belgium" by Marc Pairon. Page 46 in the book "Craquelés, les animaux en céramique 1920-1940" by Malaureille published by Massin.
