Yomouth Turkmenistan Saddle Pad 120 X 84 Cm
Yomouth wool saddle pad, 1940-50. Very good condition. Rare.
This saddle pad, lined with a sturdy felt, is decorated with numerous geometric patterns arranged vertically. The fringes are typical of these ethnic pieces. A lot of attention was paid to the creation of this authentic saddle pad which was reserved for ceremonies (parties, weddings). Among other things, we find the 'S' pattern originally symbolizing a two-headed dragon that could be observed on ancient Persian, Chinese and Celtic bronzes.
Free Chronopost delivery for France and Europe. Do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email. (We ship our rugs and kilims by Chronopost or Colissimo, at our expense (up to 30 kg) in mainland France and Europe).
