Enameled and gilded porcelain with polychrome decoration of animated scenes in cartouches. The motifs of the cartels evoke the morals of the "incredible" and "marvelous" eccentric youth of Paris under the Directory and are inspired by an engraving by Louis Carrogis known as Carmontelle (1795-1799).
All the characters and foliage are enhanced by hand before being painted with colored enamels and powdered with pure gold.
Excellent condition, no chips, no cracks, no restoration. Work of the Raynaud house in Limoges, second half of the 20th century.
Total weight: 2.1 kg.
