A child during the Occupation, he nevertheless retains from this difficult period which deeply marked him the memory of a warm life punctuated by the seasons. He then studied plastic arts at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Industries Textiles in Roubaix from which he graduated brilliantly in 1956. Charles Malle specializes in landscapes and views of Normandy and especially Paris
