Louis XV Style Gilded Oval Mirror, Napoleon III Period, 19th Century
Beveled mirror in a wooden and stucco frame gilded with leaf decoration with rows of eggs and rows of pearls. At the top, a large shell is surrounded by flowers and foliage, at the bottom, openwork decoration of stylized foliage. Quite rare, the wide bevel of the mirror follows the outline of the shell decoration at the top.
Gilding patinated by time.
