Charles Sillem Lidderdale (British, 1831–1895). There are 10 paintings by this artist in the British National Art Collection. Painting - A good size measuring 70 cm x 60 cm Frame and Painting 52 cm x 45 cm . A superb example of the work of Charles Sillem Lidderdale depicting a beautiful young half length girl in a landscape setting . The painting has a wonderful provenance having been in the same family since new. Fully Signed with the artist's monogram lower left. Presented In very fine condition. The canvas not lined, torn, patched or repaired. Clean, most attractive, well framed and ready to hang. Presented in a good quality 'Watts' style frame. Artist Information Charles Sillem Lidderdale was a British artist whose work often focused on portraits of young women in outdoor settings. Lidderdale exhibited 36 paintings at the Royal Academy between 1856 and 1893.
