Rare Art Deco Normandy Liner Clock By René Lalique For Ato
Rare Art Deco period clock in blue and satin molded-pressed glass depicting the Normandie liner by René Lalique for ATO, circa 1935.
This clock was one of three models offered to first class passengers and crew members during the inaugural crossing of the Normandie liner in 1935.
It is signed "ATO" and "MADE IN FRANCE". It has its original movement and works.
Height: 15 cm. Diameter: 13 cm. Very good state. No cracks, no chips, no restoration.
The historian of the ATO group confirmed that René Lalique was the only master glassmaker to have collaborated with ATO. Furthermore, the grandson of Léon Hatot also certifies that Lalique was the master glassmaker of this model of clock.
