Théodore RICHARD (Millau 1782 – 1859 Toulouse), attributed to Italianate landscape with shepherds Oil on canvas, 32.5 x 45 cm THE ARTIST Student of Ingres, Bertin and Aubry, he appeared at the Paris Salon from 1827 to 1852 , second class medal in 1831. Knight of the Legion of Honor on August 8, 1854. He was first a surveying engineer from 1802 in Cantal, then in Bordeaux; he held this position in 1819 when he met Brascassat, then aged 14.
