Very elegant cutlery set from the Duo model by Christofle. It consists of 73 pieces and is complete for 12 people. It was created by the famous Finnish artist Tapio Wirkala for the "New Forms" range from Christofle in 1957. Quite unique and unlike any other cutlery, absolutely precursor of a movement of free and ergonomic shapes, it appears in the collection of almost every design museum in the world. Its importance for the history of world design unfortunately did not prevent it from being a commercial failure in its time. It is therefore rather rare on the antiques market.
