Samuel Veksler is a painter born in 1966 in Vitebsk, the hometown of Marc Chagall. He studied at the Belarusian Institute of Fine Arts in Vitebsk, a school that Marc Chagall once inspired and directed.Today he lives and works in Saint Petersburg. Samuel Veksler is inspired by the famous painters of the Vitebsk School, of which Chagall is the leader, but he also counts among his ranks artists such as Yavlinski, Puni and Altman.
His postmodern paintings with cubist influences are very popular.
