Pair of gilt bronze candlesticks mounted as lamps with Rais de Cœurs decoration, Directoire period circa 1798

An interesting and decorative pair of nice bronze candlesticks finely chiseled with a beautiful heart-shaped decoration called Rais de Cœurs, in beautiful original gilding.

Beautiful French work of the Directoire period circa 1798.

Sizes: Height 10.23 Inches. - diameter 5.11 Inches.
Sizes with lampshades: H 18.89 Inches. - Diameter lamp shade 11.81 Inches.

In good original condition, some wear to the gilding of the period which makes all the charm and authenticity of this pair of candlesticks. They have been mounted as lamps and receive very nice new shades in pleated silk of green color with gold interior.
