DESCRIPTION: spectacular ceremonial piece of furniture with medallion, in boulle marquetry with brass threads on an ebony veneer background. The central medallion is signed Mme Léon Bertaux, a famous sculptor known in her time for her success in universal exhibitions, where she will be declared out of competition. She is the first woman to receive a gold medal in her specialty. Very beautiful ornamentation of gilded bronzes with large spandrels around the central medallion on the door, medallion itself surmounted by an applied motif and finished with a ribbon in the lower part. Significant falls in feminine terms on the amounts, low falls, multiple ingot molds. Top in black Aleppo breccia marble, mahogany interior with two shelves.
