Baccarat ‘bambou’ Amber Crystal Toilet Set, Art Nouveau, C.1890–1905

Baccarat Crystal, France. A five-piece toiletries set in Baccarat crystal (the ‘Bambou’ model) in tinted crystal with an amber gradient, comprising three perfume bottles of varying heights, each with its original twisted stopper, a rectangular box with a domed lid, and a round, domed sweet jar, richly decorated with moulded and cut twisted ribs in relief.

Designed in the late 19th century by the prestigious Baccarat crystal manufactory, the ‘Bambou’ model reflects the naturalistic aesthetic of the Art Nouveau period. Characterised by its organic forms and twisted fluting that subtly play with the light, this iconic design is presented here in a luminous amber colour with superb warm hues.
