Extremely rare large Florentine, Tuscan apartment mirror from the first part of the Baroque period in wood carved with louvres and gilded with leaf then burnished and amati, in a rectangular quadrilateral shape. This mirror is characterized by an exceptional work of symmetrical sculptures on several levels of depth, gradually rising like a mille-feuille where plant windings, volutes and acanthus leaves rub shoulders symmetrically, the emblem of the Medici family, the flower Florence lily. A large rounded strip of plain laced laurel leaf frieze, the main decoration encloses the ice.
