Pair Of Torches - Bronze Candlesticks

Pair of candlesticks in gilded bronze and brown patina. The tripod base rests on lion paws and is decorated with plant motifs and shells. The barrel is fluted, the binet decorated with palm leaves. The mercury gilding is perfectly preserved, some tiny wear on the barrel, the bobeches are not original but well adapted, although with a slight difference in the appearance of the gilding. Very good condition. Empire period, circa 1800-1815.
