Silver plate from the Louis of the arms of the BLANCHETON family, probably for Pierre Blancheton, squire, lord of Meursault born March 22, 1630 and died September 1, 1712 in Beaune. He was a lawyer in parliament, advisor secretary to the King in the chancellery near the Parliament of Burgundy. Diameter 23 cm Weight 400 grams Original patina, scratches from use, beautiful hallmarks Rare piece of civic goldwork having survived the large casts of 1689.
