Stained Glass Windows - Swiss Stained Glass - Heraldry

This stained glass window represents a coat of arms and a woman in Renaissance costume. The coat of arms represents a minor. This character, above the coat of arms, holds out a stone, or a large nugget of gold, to the woman, probably the owner of the mine. At the top of the stained glass window, there is a scene where a man enters a rich residence decorated with columns, in which other characters are playing cards. The title block at the bottom is left blank.

Colorless or colored glasses. Acid work, grisaille, enamel and silver yellow painting. Leaded assembly and surround.
