Brooch in the shape of a painter's palette composed of a smooth gold plate, pierced and decorated with 3 brushes made in pink gold and platinum. 9 precious and fine stones adorn the top, most of them prong-set. We find a cushion-cut sapphire, a step-cut emerald, a cabochon turquoise, 2 brilliant-cut diamonds and a baguette-cut diamond, 2 fancy-cut and cabochon-cut garnets, a supposedly fine pearl. The attachment system is a pin with safety pump and chain with safety pin.

Authentic old jewelry - French work from the 1940s-1950s.
Our opinion: An old brooch of very good quality and with an original theme. The history of this jewel: This brooch was custom made in the 1940s by its former owner who was a painter. The latter designed this jewel, chose each of the stones which adorned it and had to save many months, due to lack of means, before being able to pay the craftsman who created this magnificent jewel. This vintage brooch was then passed on to his daughter during her inheritance.
