It is in excellent condition, with a few rare holes and traces of life which all contribute to its authenticity. It is perfectly stable and solid. It has been treated and waxed to give it shine and bring out its beautiful brown color. After spending almost a century in a beautiful library of a bourgeois home, it will make a magnificent little decorative piece of furniture for storing flowers or trinkets.
