Louis Philippe Crepin of Orléans 1772-1851. Student of Joseph Vernet then of Hbert Robert, he learned about painting seascapes with the first and landscapes with the second. He exhibited at the Salon from 1796. Napoleon I commissioned a Marine from him for the Palais des Tuileries. Museums: Dijon, Dole, Le Havre, Musée de la Marine Paris Pair of undergrowth landscapes animated by a couple of shepherds.
