19th Century French Colonial Glass Liqueur Cellar

A fabulous French 19th century colonial, ormolu and bevelled glass liqueur cellar. The decorative case has bevelled glass panels on all sides and top, raised on 4 legs with sculpted elephant heads. The original beveled glass sides and top are also framed within a bamboo design. The top lifts up. Inside, original mirrored base and the original and complete set of twelve cordial glasses (4 missing) and four decanters each displaying finely detailed luxuriant etched foliate designs and fitted within richly chased foliate ormolu supports. The whole interior, which can be removed by way of an ornate gilded handle. This is a stunning and very decorative item.
