Very beautiful box in tortoiseshell and gold, with a miniature of (Georges Nicolas Toussaint Augustin), known as (Dubourg), circa 1785.
Dubourg was born in 1758, and died in 1800.
The miniature represents a gentleman in a landscape, he is protected by a slightly curved glass, the surround is in gold.
The tortoiseshell box is in good condition despite its great age.
