Very large sculpture Armed Peace. Bronze brown patina medal by Jules Félix Coutan. Prix de Rome in 1871, medal at the Salon of 1876, gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1889, and grand prize of the Universal Exhibition of 1900. Directed the Sèvres Manufacture from 1891 to 1894. Cartouches on three sides: Peace Union Labor. Reproduced on page 228 in the dictionary of bronzes by Pierre Kjellberg. Signed on the Jules terrace. Coutan. Stamp Thiébaut Brothers Fumière and Gavignot successors therefore cast iron between 1898 and 1905. Morello red marble base on bronze plaque. Weight: 45 kilos.
