Workshops of Marcel Chaufriasse (1926-1990), 1950s, in Limoges, Very elegant hard porcelain plaque decorated using the so-called “paste on paste” technique initiated by the Sèvres factory in the mid-19th century and then used with equal success by Minton in England. It consists of decorating, with white slip in successive layers, a colored piece cooked beforehand. After cooking, the effect is similar to that of a cameo with the addition of transparency effects. This plaque whose very refined decoration features a seated woman, in the antique style, in a floral and plant environment, in white on a blue background. Presented in a period frame (31.5 x 27.5 cm), signed at the bottom of the plate by the artist "M. Chaufriasse - Limoges"
