The box, for its part, is interesting for the great richness of its iconography and medallions relating the life of Jesus. On the lid of the box, Christ in Glory in his mandorla dominates with all his eternity and his wisdom, his work. He is surrounded by the four evangelists and symbolically by the twelve apostles.
This theme of the glorious Christ beyond the earthly world contrasts with the other scenes from the earthly life of Jesus that we find on either side of this central room. The one on the right recalls Jesus chasing the merchants from the temple.
On the front, Christ on the cross appears on one of the three banners, it is highlighted by a banner representing six of the apostles (the other six being on the back) on one of the small faces we find the birth of the Savior.
