Pierre Flechy, Curved Between Two Commode In Stamped Marquetry from the Louis XV Period Circa 1760 Lovely Curved Between Two Commode in Rosewood and Amaranth Veneer from the Louis Arched Feet. This opens on the front with four drawers in three rows. This Commode with Curved Front Inlaid in Frisage, is Trimmed with a Pretty Bec Breccia Marble from Corbin. Beautiful Ornamentation of Gilt and Chiseled Bronze Such as Pull Handles, Lock Entrances, Lamp Base, Clogs. Has Two Keys. Furniture of Very Fine Quality of Execution Stamped on its Right Upright by the Great Cabinetmaker, Pierre FLECHY (1715-1769). Pierre Fléchy, Received, Master in 1756. Pierre Fléchy set up his workshop on rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine where he worked first as a privileged craftsman then as a Master Cabinetmaker from 1756. His furniture of good quality and good taste was very appreciated in commerce. He mainly produced chests of drawers, corners and secretaries with pretty wavy shapes coated with European lacquer or varnish in the Chinese taste. But the originality of this cabinetmaker consisted above all in covering his marquetry furniture with large flowers in light wood contrasting against a background of rosewood or violet. Pierre Fléchy is still reported on rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine in 1769. Work from the Louis XV period, around 1760, 18th Century.
