Tempera on wood painted on softwood panel, ogival in shape, representing the Virgin and Child on a gold background. Undoubtedly executed in Italy in the first half of the 19th century, at the time of the Grand Tour, during which its followers brought back high quality objects and souvenirs, related to the museums and collections visited. A crack in the middle, and brown spots on the pictorial layer, but good dimensions and beautiful effect. Italy, probably Tuscany, 19th century.
