Strong cutlass dagger ITALY, Republic of Genoa, 18th century period. Handle with a round, fluted section made from layers of brown and blond horn separated by washers and with twisted rods (see photos). Brass ferrule and cap, fluted pommel top and riveting button. White metal bolster. Strong blade with 1 edge and counter-edged point, with central gutter and chiseled in high relief on the heel of a man with saber and whistle and on the other side a man with megaphone or trumpet and sword. Carving along the back of the blade in relief and engraving on the back of the blade. Very sharp blade edge (be careful with your fingers). Silver-plated brass scabbard garnished with a rectangular medallion on each side, in bone carved on one side with the anchored cross and on the other side with a compass rose (navigation). 1 bail ring bearing punch mark (unidentified) Special feature of the scabbard, the spherical heel of the blade adapts perfectly to it.
