Important group in patinated plaster, representing Daphnis the work is monogrammed JMD for Charles Jean Marie Degeorge 1837 1888 titled on the front terrace "DAPHNIS" the very decorative work rests on a large gray lacquered wooden base, Daphnis is the son of Hermés and of a nymph, he is a shepherd from Sicily who was deified, according to legend he taught Pan to sing and play the flute, these attributes (goat and flute) are represented on our important sculpture Very good condition, tiny accidents, all sides very decorative with the base the measurement is 204 by 40 deep and 76 long with the base
